It's a web app that builds custom light shows for your Tesla, synced to your music. You pick a song, our engine choreographs the lights (and optionally the doors, windows, and other closures) to the beat, and you export a file package you load onto a USB drive to run on your car. We also make Wrap Studio, a free designer for Tesla's custom digital wraps: design on your phone, download a file that meets Tesla's spec, and upload it from the Tesla app.

Upload a song so our engine can choreograph to it, preview your show in 3D in the browser, then export. You get a LightShow folder with your .fseq sequence and step-by-step instructions. You add your own copy of the song to the folder, copy it onto a USB drive, plug it into your Tesla, and start the show from the Toybox. Choreography by us. Soundtrack by you.

Model S (2021+), Model 3, Model X (2021+), Model Y, and Cybertruck, running Tesla software v11.0 (2021.44.25) or newer. Pick your model in the builder and the choreography is built for your exact car: its lights, its closures, its channel map. Switch models any time and the show re-tailors automatically before you export. The refreshed Model Y (Juniper) works too, and its front light bar dances right along with the music.

You can build and preview shows for free, forever. Your first export is free. After that it's $3.99 per export, or you can subscribe to Creator for unlimited exports (and free community-show downloads). See pricing. Custom wraps are different: Wrap Studio is free, full stop. Designing and downloading wrap files never costs anything; you just need a free account to download.

Yes. Wrap Studiodesigns the digital custom wraps Tesla added in the 2026 Summer Update: the ones that change how your car looks on the touchscreen and in the Tesla app, not the physical paint. Design against the official template for your model, right in your phone's browser, and download a PNG that meets Tesla's spec exactly. It's free, and your designs save to the same account as your light shows.

Yes. If you enable Auto-choreograph closures, the show can open and dance your doors, windows, mirrors, liftgate/frunk, and charge port to the music, staying within Tesla's published limits. Because these are physical movements, always make sure your car has clear space and keep people and objects away. You run shows at your own risk. See our Terms.

Any song you have a copy of. Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, or FLAC so our engine can analyze the beat and build the choreography. You bring your own copy of the track to actually run the show. The music belongs to the artists who made it, and we'd rather honor the copyright that protects their work than tiptoe around it, so we keep you on the right side of the music while your Tesla does it justice.

No, and that's on purpose. Choreography by us. Soundtrack by you. Your export is the light sequence (.fseq), not the song. We use your upload only to build the show, then delete it the moment you export. We never store, ship, or share anyone's audio. To run the show, drop your own copy of the same songinto the LightShow folder (the export email walks you through it). Easiest path: reuse the exact file you uploaded, rename it to match, and you're set.

Easiest way: in Chrome or Edge on a computer, click 'Write it to my USB drive for me' right after exporting, and we create the LightShow folder, add the show and your song with the exact names Tesla expects, and verify every byte. Manual way: copy the LightShow folder to the root of an exFAT/FAT32 drive (not NTFS). Either way, plug it into a front USB or the glovebox port, then tap Toybox → Light Show → Schedule Show. Usually not. Most USB sticks come exFAT or FAT32 and work as-is, and our one-click USB write (Chrome/Edge on a computer) handles the folder, the files, and the naming for you. If your Tesla doesn't see the drive, it's probably NTFS: reformat it as exFAT. There's a two-minute walkthrough for Windows and Mac in the guide.

No. Everything runs in your browser: upload a song, our engine choreographs your Tesla's lights to it, you preview in 3D and export. xLights is a great pro tool for hand-building sequences frame by frame, but you never need it here, and there's nothing to install.

Yes. You can submit your shows to the Light Show Library, and acquire shows others have shared. Community shows are choreography only (the .fseqplus the song's title, artist, and tempo, never anyone's audio), so it's BYOM just like your own exports: bring your own copy of the listed song to run it. When you add a community show to your library, it's tailored to your Tesla model automatically. Subscribers get community downloads free; otherwise it's $3.99.

Make sure: your Tesla software is v11.0+; the USB is exFAT/FAT32 (not NTFS) with a base-level LightShow folder; the .fseq and audio filenames match; and there's no TeslaCam folder on the drive. The troubleshooting guide walks every failure mode.
