Phone to car in three steps

STEP 1

Design it on your phone

Pick your model, choose a background, add your images and logos. The official template outlines show exactly where every panel lands. No Photoshop, nothing to install.

STEP 2

Save the PNG

One tap exports a file that meets Tesla's spec exactly: right size, right format, under the limit, valid filename. Save it straight to your phone.

STEP 3

Upload in the Tesla app

Tesla app, then Creations, then Wrap, then Upload. Apply it on the car screen from Toybox. On older software, a USB drive with a Wraps folder works too.

Every export meets Tesla's spec

PNG format, sized to the official template for your exact model
Between 512x512 and 1024x1024 pixels, as Tesla requires
Always under the 1 MB limit, compressed automatically if needed
A filename the car accepts: letters, numbers, spaces, dashes, underscores

Custom wrap questions, answered

What are Tesla's requirements for a custom wrap file?

A PNG image, between 512x512 and 1024x1024 pixels, under 1 MB, with a simple filename (letters, numbers, spaces, dashes, underscores). Wrap Studio exports files that meet the spec exactly, sized to the official template for your model.

How do I get the wrap onto my car?

Easiest way: save the PNG to your phone, then in the Tesla app go to Creations, then Wrap, then Upload (requires the 2026 Summer Update and app v4.59.0 or newer). Apply it on the car screen from Toybox, then Paint Shop, then Wraps. No update yet? Copy the PNG into a folder named Wraps at the root of a USB drive and plug it into the car instead.

Which Teslas support custom wraps?

Cybertruck, Model 3, Model S, Model X, and Model Y, on recent Tesla software. Tesla publishes an official template for each variant, and Wrap Studio designs against the exact template for the model you pick.

Is it free?

Yes. Wraps are free to design and export. Downloading your file takes a free account, which also saves your designs so you can come back to them on any device.

Can I use my own images and logos?

Yes. Upload photos or logos from your phone, then move, scale, and rotate them on the template. Backgrounds can be solid colors, gradients, or one of our pattern presets. Your design is yours.

Do I need Photoshop or any design software?

No. Tesla's official workflow assumes you can edit a PNG template on a computer. Wrap Studio replaces that: everything runs in your phone's browser, with the official panel outlines overlaid so you can see exactly where the hood, doors, and roof land.

Does this change my actual paint?

No. Tesla wraps are digital: they change how your car appears on the touchscreen and in the Tesla app, not the physical paint. Swap or remove them any time from Toybox.
