Light Show Library/Kids & Family Tesla Light Shows/Bluey Theme Song (Extended)

Bluey Theme Song (Extended) · Tesla Light Show

by Joff Bush

The Bluey theme in its extended cut, composed by Joff Bush for the Australian cartoon about a blue heeler pup and her family. The tune is a game of musical statues, and the show plays along: the front turn signals fire about one and a half times a second with the signature bar right behind, and the pauses are where the kids freeze. It holds one level from start to finish, which at just over a minute is exactly right. Short enough to run three times in a row, and if there is a preschooler in the driveway, you will.

Works on your phone or tablet. Two things to know first. You bring your own copy of the song, because we make the lights and never the music. And the final step, copying the files onto a USB stick, needs a computer: a phone or tablet cannot write one. How this one is choreographed

This is one of the fastest shows in the library: the lights re-fire about 1.2 times a second and rarely sit still. It holds a level: right around 31% of the car stays lit from start to finish, with no single section stealing the show. The fullest ten seconds arrive late, starting at 0:51 with about 39% of the car lit, so keep the camera rolling to the end. Most of the work falls on the front turn signals, re-firing about 1.4 times a second, with the signature light bar and daytime running lights answering back at 1.2. The work is split close to evenly between the two ends, 52% front to 48% rear, so it plays from either end, or side-on from the curb. The quietest part of the car is the brake light, at about 0.7 re-fires a second. It runs 1:05 and averages 64 of 255 across the light channels, a darker show that spends most of its time well below full, so the hits carry further. About 20% of the light values are partial, toward the top of the range for this catalog, so the show leans on swells and dimming as much as on hits. It never goes completely dark for long: the longest gap is 0.4 of a second, just before the close.

Measured from the exported light sequence for this show, not estimated from the song.

How to play it on your car

  1. Open the show above and add it to your library (remix it in the builder first if you want).
  2. Add your own copy of the song: an MP3/WAV you own. We distribute only the light pattern, never audio.
  3. Export the .fseq built for your model, then place your song next to it (or let the one-click USB writer do both).
  4. Put both files in a LightShow folder on a USB drive. Or skip the manual steps: in Chrome/Edge, click 🔌 Write it to my USB drive for me right after exporting and we do it all, verified byte-for-byte. Then plug in and start it from Toybox → Light Show. Full walkthrough in the setup guide.

Car says Light Show instead of Custom Light Show, or the drive is not detected at all? That is the USB format, the folder name, or filenames that do not match. If it plays but drifts out of time, that is the audio sample rate. Fix both here.

Questions

Is this a good show to run for a crowd?
It is one of the more intense shows, at about 1.2 light changes a second, driven mostly through the front turn signals. It plays best after dark with room around the car. It holds the same level throughout, so it reads well even if people arrive part way in.
Is the music included?
No, this is a BYOM show. You add your own legally-owned copy of the song; we provide the synchronized light pattern.
Is it safe for the car?
Every export passes safety validation: staggered door movements with travel time respected, limited flash rates, and per-model rules enforced.
Can I change how it looks?
Yes, every show is remixable in the builder: edit the timeline, switch models, or regenerate with a different vibe.
