The violin carries Leontovych’s four-note motif in quick, darting patterns across the front, and when the electronic drop arrives the whole car goes with it, riding the beat until the strings take back over. A quarter of the light values sit at a partial level, high for this catalog, so the show leans on swells and dimming as much as on hits. It never builds to a big finish, which suits a piece that was always a loop. A hundred-year-old Ukrainian carol with a very modern finish, and the side markers do most of the work.
How this one is choreographed

The longest full blackout lasts 1.7 seconds, at 2:48, and that pause is what makes the next hit land.
