Danny Elfman fronted Oingo Boingo years before he wrote the music for The Nightmare Before Christmas, and this 1985 Halloween party anthem is where the two careers meet. The show is one of the brightest in the catalog, the signature bar and tail lights trading hits at a relentless clip, and it builds through the run across more than six minutes of horn stabs and skeleton-dance groove. How this one is choreographed
This is one of the fastest shows in the library: the lights re-fire about 1.3 times a second and rarely sit still. It builds. The car runs about 39% of its lights through the opening third and finishes near 45%, so the biggest picture is the one you end on. Most of the work falls on the signature light bar and daytime running lights, re-firing about 1.4 times a second, with the tail lights answering back at 1.4. It runs 6:22 and averages 103 of 255 across the light channels, a bright show that stays close to full through its busiest passages. About 16% of the light values sit at a partial level, so hits are punctuated by fades rather than being pure on and off.
