The analog synth theme by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, the pulsing arpeggio that opens every episode of Stranger Things. At about a minute and eight seconds it is one of the shortest shows in the catalog, and it spends that minute on dread: the rear turn signals pulse with the synth, the side markers answer, and the brightest moment arrives in the middle as the title swells. Dim and moody, with many values fading rather than snapping. Use it as the opener for a Halloween night.
How this one is choreographed
This is a busy show. The lights re-fire about 0.9 times a second, near the top of what the catalog runs. The peak is in the middle third, where roughly 40% of the car is lit against 25% at the top, then it eases back for the finish. About 24% of the light values are partial, toward the top of the range for this catalog, so the show leans on swells and dimming as much as on hits.
